What a prick, so 20 minutes of that officers time was wasted with him, when it could of been done and dusted and he may well of caught some more deserving criminal which pricks like that usually complain about.

I saw this last week as well and thought what a prick at first but most of what he is saying is probably correct he is just exploiting holes in the law he will probably get away with it.

That cop has far too much patience! The driver is also full of shit. He could have got away with just a telling off for using his phone if he wasn't such a smart arse, Instead he got a ticket!
Don't try this at home guys, it really doesn't work!
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

I don't think I even got as far as 2:30 - I staggered by the thought that anybody thinks this bs is going to get them off a ticket. The only chance you have of that, is absolute humbleness, great big slices of the pie, and apologies. Then, maybe, if the copper is in a good mood, you stand a chance (steverst, care to comment?). Act the smart arse, and you're nicked.

Would it not be handy to have this "prick" wasting police time at the side of the road as you inadvertently speed past them on your mighty Fazer ensuring you don't get caught.....you'd thank the prick then wouldn't you ;)

My opinion is lawyers do exactly the same by trying to get you off an offence which may or not have taken place, the better the lawyer and knowledge of the law the more technicalities to use....is this a waste of the courts time or would you quite happily accept a ban for totting up of points, possibly losing your job in the process.....and don't give me "if you can't do the time don't do the crime" crap, as we all have powerful bikes for a reason otherwise we would all be driving mopeds or 125's :D

IIRC a "prick" killed a biker in the summer because he/she was using a mobile phone whilst driving.
Everyone was baying for blood then.

You are right about lawyers, even serial killers get a defence don't they!

I'm in no way condoning using mobiles whilst driving and I never said that either. All I am saying is that I'd rather the police get their time wasted than point a speed gun at me....the less speed guns the better in my humble opinion :)

You wouldn't be saying that if you had to repeatedly go to 'accidents' where kids have been splatted all over the road, then have to break the news to their parents.

Agree totally! insane the amount of people think speed is the biggest factor when its only contributary to ~10% of accidents in the UK. SMIDSY is a much bigger cause (and human error acounts for over 90%!)
