Fuzzy - you can't see those two huge images? As for what it is, it's describing a very expensive plastic welding kit set (cable tie and a soldering iron, anyone?  :lol ).  I just noticed it was a Fazer nosecone.

Will try re-uploading.

I've just done some plastic welding on the cheap.

I'll post about it in my ongoing thread soon! Worked pretty well.

See it now, thanks! Couldn't earlier for some reason.

Cables ties and soldering iron - is it as simple to do as it sounds?

Pretty much! The cable tie acts as the filler - but you need to make sure both sides of the break melt to, and fuse. It'll look butt-ugly halfway through - before you add body filler and paint.

A bit of advice:
- Wait for the iron to heat up properly. If not, you're mucking around, making a mess & getting nowhere
- Go slowly. It's easy to stick yet another hole through your fairing by being overly enthusiastic
- Be patient! The chap you fixed up my fairing last time did 2 runs with the soldering iron, 3 runs with various grades of sandpaper, and 2 runs with bodyfiller. It gave a great result but took about an hour for a few small cracks. And he was an expert at it!

Back to the OP - has anyone seen a fazer in that orange before? Respray?

Thanks Christo, might give it a go as I have a spare fairing that could do with some tlc.

As for the fairing, it looks like the standard red but it's somehow come out looking orange in the scanned image

I thought that too, but the Halfrauds logo bottom right seems to be the right colour? Weird...
