LED Indicators Installation question

Im replacing my old ones as they do my head in, quesion tho where does the relay go that gets sent with them is it a replacement for the flasher unit ? or something that sits inline after the flasher. prob a dumb question but im asking it anyway.

If it's a single unit, it usually replaces the original flasher unit.  If you get multiple resistors, throw 'em away and go buy a single unit anyway.
