thanks mike. im going to take the carbs off again and check in a coupla weeks. When looking down the throats I could barely see the holes, even with glasses and good light. my old eyes aint all that now im older. ive ordered one of those LED lit magnifying glasses off ebay (along with a long reach 3mm t bar), and I figure now ive done it once getting the carbs on and off isn't such a big deal. Im also making up a template for the floats..i used a ruler with 14mm markd off but struggled to get a good line of sight in practice, so just want to recheck that too. im about 95% certain its ok, but I wanna be 100...
get a thin bit of wire like a paper clip and poke it down the hole to the bottom then mark or bend it when it enters the hole. put the drill back down as far as it goes and mark where it enters the hole. you can now compare the lengths to make sure you got to the bottom.

ive done a search and can’t find a guide to removing ais on my 2004 fzs1000
Can I do it With stock pipe on ? Will be getting a slip on and Ivan’s jet kit in due course
Are all the common mods stickied somewhere?
ais guide here, leaving or removal wont affect ivans kit, but it helps with space for other workhttp://www.cartestsoftware.com/fz1/airinductionsystemremoval.html

Full Monty not really impressed. No where near as fast pick up on no load, no where near as good at the bottom end, no where near as good in the mid range, no where near as good at the top end.
All in all, no where near as good as a good dynojet setup done on a rolling road. My old Fazer started off with just over 130 bhp and was dyno'd at 138 bhp after the Dynojet kit and rolling road. And before anyone says owt, we have had them side by side and my old Fazer walks away. The power comes in harder and it pulls better at the bottom/mid/top end.
Plus my new Fazer sounds like a bloody VFR, no where near as "angry" as my old one.
The Exup is fine and in good adjustment. The only problem at the moment is an intermittent problem with the TPS, but i cans see it making any difference.
I'm gutted to tell the truth.
have you only changed the end can or the full exhaust?

Is that a Delkevic and if so is it very loud, I'm not really looking for anything too noisy?

..doesn't appear to mention where the cables go on the servo motor - but I assume the 'silver' on the top of the pulley also goes at the top on the servo?
it shows you on the 4th pic down left hand pic

How are the two outside exhaust air inlets drilled and tapped? Space above is tight....
just use a 1/4" drive socket, takes a while at 1/2 turn a time though.i didnt drill mine, just tapped
