Thanks Bretty. I was coming to the same conclusion! Spent a bit of time trying to blow them through and Still got them sitting in carb cleaner! But your answer is reassuring. Any idea what this closed passage does?

Cheers

FZS600 Fazer / 1999 carb jet identification

Hi everyone,

Having problems with my bike...think it's carbs, won't idle unless on choke. Have taken carbs off..can identify main jet and what I think is the pilot jet. But there is another jet, which seems completely blocked, but I can't seem to identify this one in any diagrams. Other than one which called it the 'primary jet'. I have attached a photo which I nabbed from RubyRacing'post as it shows the three jets. The one I am referring to is the one nearest the camera on the right.
Any help gratefully received!
Thanks

Thanks very much for the welcome to the forum  and helpful responses. In actual fact my problem solely relates to the speed sensor (I have previously used this forum and these diagrams to work out the rest of the wiring!)-I want to use the OEM sensor rather than fitting a the motogadget sensor.  I have separately communicated with Schlumpf who has been really helpful. Where I am now is:- Two wires come from the sensor to the dash - blue/yellow and white. I have connected a switched live to the blue/yellow and I have placed a resistor between this wire and the White signal wire (4700). The White signal wire switches from 12v to 0 when the wheel turns, but the motogadget does not record anything... I don't understand why this is not working!

Any thoughts?

Has anyone fitted a motogadget mini? I am having problems getting the speedo to get a signal from the OEM speed sensor. I would really appreciate any help trying to solve this! thanks

Hello all. I am based in North London. I have a few bikes including a 1999 FAZER 600, which I am the process of modifying...kind of cafe style. So bike is in  the shed at the moment and I need to pick some of your brains if possible. Thanks
