Thanks. Saw that one. Can't stretch that much at the moment, plus a new one will look a bit wrong with the manky left one . Ha

doing seals and found the tiniest dent on fork which has transferred to inside. Fooled me for ages, Stantion getting stuck.
So, just need lower leg, no dents please. Cheapness appreciated  :)

edit: looking at fowlers site, the part number for all boxeyes is the same, if that helps. Ta

I got a pair of the cheap ebay FZS1000 mirrors on the boxeye, and they are alot better visibility wise. They do shake a bit, but at least you can see beyond elbows. I has to run a M6 die down the thread as its wasn't quite right, by hand as the studs are close together.

ebay seller was xmotor-2008

Left hand one collects rain when your're parked as i have found out these last couple of weeks...

thanks, saw that, but have most now. When I get to the brakes, will need a disc or two (I guess I really need a matched pair)... will wait for another payday as wife's car in in for MOT soon, and that always costs...

Ha. Nice guy actually, with impatient neighbours. Had fun getting there as my van not allowed into LEZ, so very careful looking on map.

Bought as a project, no great rush as I like tinkering and making things as they should be.

OK, some pics of the Fazer. All in garage with phone flash, so not marvelous.

Badly painted brake caliper, note paint on banjo bolt and hose. I have wiped some DOT4 over it and see whan happens.

A couple of pics of bike with front stuff off.

And a cheeky pic of the Viggy for any 535 fans out there  ;)

Thanks. Exactly that. Might try that, although I think they are wavy floating ones...which may bugger that idea up. Bloodly expensive things i see..

Sorry, no pics yet, but short update.

Picked up  a Cat D 1999 600 for not alot. Was stolen, and recovered from nearby ditch when thieves couldn't start it.
Pulled off fairing, lamps, clocks, headlamp frame, left front peg. All bent. Have a slightl;y better fairing, so will stay standard front end

Forks and frame are good and straight.

Seems HID's were installed at some point, so will try and keep those, but the wiring is shocking. Chocblocks everywhere.

Replaced top yoke and fuel cap as they mangled the locks and cut wires.

Gearshift/peg now replaced and straight.

Waiting for headlamp frame to be delivered, just could not get current one straight in all directions.

replaced clocks, but annoyingly, these are at 115K, and last MOT shows under 40k.

Started it last night in garage without end can on, wow, thats loud.

I think one front disc is bent, can these be straightened?

All three calipers were badly painted in rattle can, with overspray.  I assume I will rebuild with new seals, so may try and get these blasted at work. Any tips here?

Everything has to be done on a budget, but will use proper yam seals etc as been there before with that one.

Fair enough.  I bought a straight one now, but guess I can offset by selling by old half bent one. I got headlight straight but the mirror ears are a different story ..
Thanks though.

Yeah.  Saw that, but previous ones were about 30 all in. Is this really the price they are now?

Heyall

Just got me a Black 99 600 on a cat D, after a stolen/recovered.

Replaced locks, sorting a few bent bits after they threw it in a ditch.  No great timescale to fix, as have a Virago to ride!  Posted a wanted for headlamp frame. Was considering streetfighter, but have found HID's installed, so keeping the lot. I have the original fairing, replaced screen and will do some plastic crack fixing in due course.

Has nice stainless downpipes, but yet to try and start as waiting for replacement clocks to arrive.
