Is the blue colour right, or is it the colour rendition in the photo?

The very same dealer who when asked if he would accept a (genuine and in person at the premises) offer by my colleague (who really is a gent with impeccable manners 60+yrs) responded simply by saying F**k Off. Not the nicest of people I would think.

Avoid like the plague IMHO  :eek

Ahh...I did wonder whether I was missing something. Am I right in thinking that the kill switch has a part to play in this too?

Thanks for replying too

Thanks for the replies.

I need to spend a bit more time on it next weekend but I do think the servo is duff. No reaction at all when the ignition is turned on.

Hi all

Am I imagining it or should the tacho flick to the red line when you first switch the ignition on???

I had a 7K rpm fault show up on Friday (just once), the EXUP is all lubed and checked but I am starting to think I have a duff servo motor. Before I go charging off now that route I would like  a reality check.

The bike actually runs alright but I do get a crackling noise from the servo and it does'nt seem to move  at all when I switch the ignition on.

Or am I just getting old and confused :\ !!?

Do I need any special tools to service and replace the seals on the brake calipers?

I used to have a Quill T3 on my old Fazer 1000, but I am not sure whether JB Racing/Quill are as good as they used to be. The can tho was excellent and ran very well withthe Full Monty.

My current bike has a Delkelvic but I am not sure I would recommend it.

I've been fiddling.....having fitted one of Luke's R6 shocks (in combination with a KTec re-worked front)......and have now found a the right settings for me......

Wot a hoot, I rode in to work this morning, damp/wet roads, dark and miserable at 0530hrs ...... and the Fazer sticks to the road like poo to glue

Fooking awesome handling...how I wished I had done the same on my first Fazer that I owned.... I can't stop grinning  :D :evil

Have fun...coz I am

Ricky

The Fazer should go like sheeet of a shovel.

As others have mentioned I think you are running too high a gear, peak power is 8000rpm +. Try keeping a gear to match your speed and maintain 6000 to 8000rpm. Then you always be just under the power band and "ready to go". Fuel consumption will not suffer for it, I have ridden mine that way on both my Fazers and I regularly get 45mpg, if not more. I might use 6th gear on the motorways but the rest of the time on national speed limit back roads I'll use 4th and no more. Rarely 5th unless the road really straightens out.

Try it!

Skipping?

Is your pre-load wound up too hard? The bike needs to be able to squat a little under acceleration to allow the tyre to work.

Hi All

Could someone please measure the width of the standard bars.

I have just replaced 758 with 754 but cannot decide if they look wider than the standard I remember on my old fazer 1000

Thanks
