Majority of the Bike is now Sold so to make things a little easier I'm just going to list the remaining bits on E-bay.Thanks to those that have shown an interest in or bought parts. :thumbup
Do you still have the foot rest?
Appologies for not getting back to you, yes I still have both front foot rests. I could do the one footpeg for £10 including the P&P so long as it's going to a mainland UK address ? Some parts or Ireland & Scotland cost a little more unfortunately. If you want to PM me your E-mail address I can send you a few photo's ?
I sent a PM with my email address?

hi wayne...remove the foot rest and linkage in one piece, disconect the linkage from the gearbox end...three hex bolts hold the footrest to the frame...
Hi red,
That sounds a good way, I'll give that a try , Thank you

You'll have to remove the gearchange linkage first, then the sprocket cover. One end of the linkage is left hand thread. Make a note of how much thread is used as you dismantle, so that the gear lever can be returned to its current position.
This is the bit i wasn't sure about removing, which end is the left had thread? and what will be the best way of removing gearchange linkage?

On the advice of others, I cut down the 758s I fitted to my thou.

How I wish I hadn't!!!! Don't cut anything until you've tried them out!
Not going to yet, just wanted other peoples opinions what they did

Had mine for years, didn’t cut them down, no problems with cables or switches. Try before you cut them.
I have them on just not been able to get out at moment

Not had mine on long but not had time to test them properly with the situation we are in so i will wait longer before trimming them down

Hi all,
How many of you have change to the renthal 758 bars and have cut them down or still using the original length?
I've heard some people have cut 20mm off each end?

And I'd use stainless not titanium ... unless you work in the aerospace industry and have free access to the parts bins. ;)
Did you use hex bolts or socket ones?

If you have access to an engineering workshop, I believe the proper way is to predrill the bars before tapping them. My pal on the otherhand just wound the tap into the bar and it worked out fine. I paid for the workshop process to the tune of £35 :eek . My pals bars cost him a pint in the pub. :lol  Pretty sure the 1.5 x the tap size is the same as 16tpi, but stand to be corrected :) .
so he just tapped them without drilling them first?, has anyone else done it this way?
