Cheers, good info.  I'd be happy with £10, profitable way to spend a lunch hour!

I took loads of copper pipe about 7 years ago when I gutted a house, had to show driving license way back then, pleasantly surprised how much I got for it mind  :D

12mm front sprocket nut.  Paint the centre stand to a standard which will stop it rusting.

I was going to take 3 car batteries and a couple of bike batteries to the local tip.  Would it be worth taking them to a scrappy instead?  Don't know how much you get these days.

What make/name of tyre are you putting on?

The good old BT21's.  I know they're old hat, but I've always got on fine with them in 13 years of riding Fazers and get good wear.  But then I ride like an old man  :lol

So, finally getting around to changing my tyres (I bought the things MONTHS ago and haven't got round to it).

Will I be able to pop the bead in with a footpump (actually have a standey-upee-hand one but can't remember what it's called!) or will I need a compressor?

Cheers

1gb is about an hour in standard definition of tv viewing based on downloading from iplayer.
Ta  :)   Couple of races a month shouldn't be a problem then!

BT Broadband customers get BT Sport free so if you've got Sky then you can view MotoGP free.
Yeah, don't have Sky though, cheapskate FreeSat guy.  So I'll have to watch on laptop/tablet/phone etc.

Just taken a new broadband contract with BT, so now have access to MotoGP, Hooray!

I've got a 10GB monthly download limit.  Anybody know how much a MotoGP uses on a "device"?

Cheers.

Here you are here is a topic I started about foot pumps
http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,12069.msg139998.html#msg139998
And I think stirrup pumps have more per pump than foot pumps, I am happy with my foot pump.

Cheers

Need a new pump.  Thinking of a stirrup pump for a change, but not sure if they have the volume-per-pump of a foot-pump?  Anybody use a stirrup pump?

Talking of weights, I didn't know you could get black ones and bought a shed load of silver ones, Doh!!

(If anybody need a few silver ones I'll lob you a strip for the price of postage)

« on: 01 November 2014, 09:13:15 pm »
Hm, I'm not convinced.  I think that you need the small low friction bearings on the proper frame to allow the wheel to rotate as freely as possible.  If you're only talking 5 grams out of balance I don't think greased axle bearings will have low enough "sticktion".

I bought this one, yet to try it but looks good enough

Cheers.  Did you already have the frame then, this looks like just the shaft and cones?

Any point buying a £50 one over a £20 one?  They're all basically a shaft and cones resting on bearings...
