i used to hang around the TT pits a bit back in the day. Joey was a genuine hands on racer who loved getting his hands dirty fettling his little 'uns. once our team needed to borrow some lockwire pliers so i trotted off and stopped at the first van that was open to ask to borrow some. sat in the back with an rs125 in bits all around him and a fag perched on his lips was yer maun. so after a little chat i borrowed said pliers and have a fond memory to boot. had dinner with Robert before his accident and he was a corporate toy, saying all the right things and sadly without opinion. was stood in pitlane a few years later when it was micheals debut at the TT and was stood next to Robert, i asked him which side of the wall he'd rather be on today and he said it was pretty crap waiting for the light to come on at signpost. Met Guy Martin at Cadwell and he came across a bit like Joey, just keen on bikes and fettling them himself.

Almond one left by the dog.
The black widow are Sandys aren't they? Not a good system, unless yours has a bloody great hole in them.

glad you had fun. one of my favourite tracks. got my crash bung and belly pan down round coppice. there's a line around charlies which avoids the ripples as you tip right, knocks a good chunk off your times as you get on the power so much earlier down park (brake at 175yd)

If you're doing the b500, take the schwartzstrasse down to Oppenau. Well worth it. Watch out for the law at the weekends tho

Get your oe shock resprung if the damping is ok. The damping on an R6 shock is designed for the weight of an R6, not 28st on a fazer. I've toured with a resprung and r6 unit and as your pace is a lot lower 2 up , I'd recommend oe

bit late to the party, but........ unless you have changed the front springs you are wasting your time adjusting the forks as has been mentioned they are bi rate.................and both rates are crap (too soft in the initial phase, then too firm in the second). get some linear springs (0.9 kg/mm if you want a base setting) and THEN fiddle about with your damping.

you need to report rider to your club secretary. you had an orange bib on which means novice racer. if he doesn't understand that and tried to be a hero (or not be beaten by a novice more likely) then he is a danger on track and should not be allowed to compete. Racing is risky.........but you don't need stupid chnts making it dangerous too.

I now "Do" need a damper, raced at Oulton Park on the weekend and the front was up in the air so much,,bars are flapping in the wind , need it for my mind too, there was one bike who got into a tank slapper and lost his bike , it went the whole length of the start straight without him and then crashed.
What times were you knocking out. My gen1 does 1.48 around oulton without a damper

Firmer springs need more rebound I went with 5w oil in mine and maxed out the rebound. However it could be anything as you have new tyres, new suspension. I'd lose a bit of air out of the front as well, down to 32psi to allow the tyre to work a little harder

Rad fan should kick in with the bike on the stand after it has been running for 2 or 3 minutes. Check to see if the fan turns freely by hand (with the ignition off) Yes, then run a live (or could be an earth) to the motor feed to see if it spins up No, sort out fan HTH
