Agreed, very nice pics and a beautiful part of the country.Hedgetrimmer, your post is a hard act to follow as all I did today was to fit a lengthened sidestand to overcome the excessive lean due to the jackup kit I fitted the other month.
Feel your pain Unfazed. I wear reactolite varifocals, and two years ago for various reasons swagged out about £700 in replacement glasses.Would they be covered by your house insurance.Trouble is it could affect your premium making it not worth the claim.
Thanks for the replies chaps. I'll check out the Venhills as hadn't considered them, although have used them in the past for cables on 60's BSA/Triumphs.
About to order a set of Hel brake lines, using the 3 line set up on the front. Did anyone using full width 758 bars and this configuration bother to order the master cylinder to splitter line any longer than stock. Thanks in advance.
There is a procedure known as spark erosion, whereby studs and broken thread taps etc can be removed without damaging the thread. It might be worth seeing if there's a specialist in your area when you decide to get it done.
One of my pals, a lifelong motorcyclist and a wealthy one at that, uses a bike to visit his clients 5 days a week averaging 1,000 miles plus. As long as I've known him he's always chosen Yamahas and Suzukis, currently the 1250, and he could afford anything on the market, but the most important requirement is starting on the button every morning week in week out. Look upon it as "What's the best tool for the job".
Went on the Sunday meet a couple of months ago. Not as well attended as Tuesdays, where the quay is shut to traffic and for a quid to charity, attendants point you to a parking space. On Sundays you are easy prey to traffic wardens unless parked in specific bays. Was a very expensive ride out for me a couple of years ago. Quite a few pubs will have live bands, especially on Tues. Enjoy and ride safe.
