How about the fast food (usually pizza) delivery guys, on the scooters? It would be debatable if they even sat a CBT!
Absolutely ZERO consideration for other road vehicles (cars or bikes) or even traffic lights, etc - on off the pavements. "Helping" give motorcyclists a bad image.
I do wonder about the legality of employing someone to deliver stuff who hasn't got a full driving licence.

Ironically, people sticking to the right hand lane on the slip road, forcing me to undertake really gets my goat.
And particularly those who fail to understand the purpose of the slip road which is to enable them to join the carriageway at an appropriate speed to allow them to "slot in" to the traffic flow without causing other motorists to brake or take evasive action. Followed an idiot down slip road who attempted to join lane 1 of M5 at 40mph ffs! :eek

I get that almost every day on the M5. I followed a BMW up the sliproad in my wife's Hyundai Matrix because I rashly assumed a BMW would accelerate. Nope. And then when they got onto the motorway they immediately get into the middle lane and sit at 65mph. FFS

Too much fuel sounds like the float level was wrong.

Has anyone taken the cover off a dead tps? Is it just a circuit board with a wiper arm or is there more going on in there?

Pretty much. I saw one that someone had repaired somewhere..... here it is

Did that on a Divvy. I bought a new ring with lugs off ebay or somewhere but in the mean time silver soldered the old one back together. As far as I know it's still working three or four years later.

I've just had the missus moaning at me for a McDonald's so i jumped in the car to pick one up and on my travels I come to a T junction. Turning right out of the junction comes a beautiful custom Honda Fireblade,

Whereabouts was that? Just that something very similar happened near the MacDonalds in Gloucester

Ooh that'd be fine for my FZS600. I do about 10-15k a year, mainly motorway.

I had a ZZR which came fitted with Armstrong HH (I think or possibly GG). Lethal in the wet, fine when dry. I was riding over the Cwmystwyth pass when it started raining and the brakes stopped working. God bless my brown trousers.

They don't do themselves any favours do they? They occasionally pull up in the park and ride carpark next to where my wife works. They use their kids as a distraction to enable them to thieve from the local shops. Or they park on a kids playground so nobody can use it and leave it looking like a shit tip. A farmer mate of mine had a load of new age travellers park on one of his fields. He would have been perfectly happy for them to stop there if they had only asked permission. But they didn't so he got the police round.

The ones I bought were a fixed bulb, not replaceable without soldering capabilities.

I think VNA has a very valid point. Privatisation has done the industry no favours. It's a debatable point as to whether investment would have been funded if the industry was still nationalised though.

Like it or not electric bikes are going to take over, but with Zeroes, Hayabusa prices for SV650 performance, it ain't gonna happen yet.

Got to admit though, the purchase price and recharging time are the only things that put me off.

Same here. I have a 50 mile each way commute and as often as not have to park in a random street (in the car) or in a motorbike parking bay miles from any power point. Mind you by the time they phase out petrol I'll probably be dead.

You've helped a friend out, saved him a few quid and it's cost you the price of a pint, that's what friends are supposed to do, end of.

Yup.

What about fibreglass? You can get some cheap polyester resin and tape from Cornwall Fibreglass Supplies. Fibreglass on the inside of the fairing, fill the outside with Plastic Padding and paint it. It'd do for a while until you can sort it properly.

As the title suggests, what exactly were people thinking?
What pictures do you have of things that are simply "Just wrong"?

There's something about those mats which makes me think Photoshop.
Defiantly photoshopped. But I quite like it. I wanted to put a zebra pattern carpet on the grand central staircase at Sharp Hall but Mrs Sharp (and the whole Sharp family ) said it was a stupid idea, so we got stripes just like every one else.

We've got rainbow painted stair rails (my idea), a bright yellow toilet room (SWMBO's idea), burgundy lounge and so on. THe way we look at it is, it's our house and we don't care what other people think. Although I will magnolia the lot when we come to sell.

Roadworks on the M5.  :2guns

They spend nearly three years converting the section from Droitwich to the M42 into a variable speed limit. They take away the roadworks for just over a month and then they're back again round the M42 (J4A) junction until the end of December!!!! Because of road repairs. Why the Foc couldn't they have done the repairs whilst they were buggering around with the rest of the roadworks for crying out loud?

I use the Dial ones from B&Q. Cheap and really effective. They're nice and soft and easy to insert. I generally reuse them for a few days before using new ones but always store them in separate packages so I know which one goes in which ear (just in case there's a bug).

I suspect the car drivers delay in getting out of the car was shock and also looking over the car may well have been he dreaded what he was going to see re the biker. Personally think the biker was a prick and hopefully no lasting injuries.
My thoughts exactly.

47
Is this the same bike as you were having trouble with 4 years ago?

48
Also when you say wobble I presume you mean side to side? If fore and aft (front to back) then it could be engine related but as you don't make that plain it's difficult to diagnose.

If you do need a male H4 connector simply type Male H4 connector into Google shopping, there are hundreds of them on Ebay.
