For those not in the know, it's a Givi box not giving (predictive text)

Not sure of the cubic capacity of box, but it's quite big.
It will fit two helmets side by side with the lid open, but not with the lid closed.

It has also what looks a brake light perched on top.

Hope that helps.

Sorry Stu

Postage will be ridiculously expensive, but main the main reason is I can't be arsed. I just don't want to do it. Sorry

I won't forget that place for while!

Just enjoying a lovely sunday morning ride heading to Bourne until I got to Bitchfield when a young lad coming the other way decided to do a right turn.  :eek

So looking for a new generation 1 Fazer 1000 judging by the amount of debris on the road. ( Insurers are assessing at the mo. ) A Bike similar to the "certs" would be ideal or if anyone can recommend a better bike let me know.

There's no rush as a fractured pelvis will take about 12 weeks to sort itself out. :'(

We're on the St Mellion heights site built by Jelson, it's a little way out of the town, typical new estate but it looks OK
Worked on that site. I think they managed to put a couple houses in the right place! :eek

Fabulous. Getting some very welcome ideas. Many thanks.

Any detailed routes would be brilliant Pitter. I think my email address is in my profile.

Barcelona dumped!

Reading Dave and Mike's posts about cheese and curry has got me really looking forward to sampling the culinary delights that Spain and France has to offer. Does a Spanish Big Mac taste any different? I hear you can't get a Quaterpounder in France. Not sure why!

Sorry for being cryptic! The vague plan is to go across to Barcelona then up through France either the Alps side, central or Atlantic coast to Calais.

Got about 4/5 days riding to get to Calais. So tying to make the most of a short trip.

Never been before so just trying to get some idea of the best route to take, with the limited time span, from the experiences of others.

If Barcelona is a waste of time do say so.

Cheers Ju.

Many thanks for the replies.

Thought the fairing was a write-off, but took to a mate who said he'd repaired worse so left it with him.
2 days later he brought it back and i was gobsmacked :eek . It looked better than new. Well chuffed.

I'd seen copies on the net, and with spraying and graphics I thought I could do it for about £300.
Imagine my surprise when I phoned Len Manchester that a genuine Yam one, ready to bolt on- £300!!

The infill is not as bad as I thought, just cracked, but if it is a right hand one Deefer let me know and I'll take a ride-out to Northants.

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Header pipe brackets
« on: 07 November 2011, 10:54:32 pm »
I've got my down pipes off to sort out the e?@& valve and while they we're off give them a good clean. Managed to get them sparkling again but the header brackets look a right mess! These can't be replaced so I'm looking for cleaning tips so they match my sparkling pipes.

Cheers
