« on: 22 December 2013, 10:48:31 am »
Hi Guys sorry I'm a newbie here, I'm having trouble on my 2002 Fazer 600 new shape. Rear Calliper need to change as the piston stuck already. can't find replacement on local breaker or ebay.
As my understanding you say Fazer 1000 01-05 will fit on my 600 fazer? like this one on ebay >>> http://www.ebay.ie/itm/01-05-Yamaha-Fz1-Rear-Brake-Caliper-Calipers-Back-Brakes-Fazer-Fz1000-Fzs1000-/331090465489?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d168792d1

Thank you.

You don't need a new caliper, just fix your old one.
A seal kit and some fresh brake fluid costs a lot less than a new caliper.

You should have bought the bigger more expensive ones.

Just sayin!
Which ones are you talking about?

I've been using the Tucano Urbano muffs for a couple of years and they are brilliant.
I wouldn't cut the thumb off, you just need to get used to using them.
The split ring & cable ties that stop the muffs from coming off are totally unnecessary and I don't use them. Try taking them off and see if that solves your throttle problem.

Carb icing is nothing to do with water in the fuel. It's humidity in the air that freezes.
The air temperature drops as it expands through a restriction (the throttle butterfly)
Moisture condenses out of the air and freezes in the carb.
Not saying there's any harm in putting isopropyl alcohol in your fuel, but it won't help with carb icing.

Anybody know how to keep fork stanchions from rusting?
I use ACF50 but they are still pitting.

£13.59 for less than a litre of oil doesn't strike me as an especially good deal

Anybody know how to stop rain coming inside your visor?
My helmet's 2 years old and used to be fine but now in the rain I get drips coming down from the top.
There is a seal there and it seems ok but isn't doing its job.

No problems yet, been riding in rain all this week. I ride all winter too but I don't corner hard so I don't often find the limits of my tyres.

I'm on Maxxis Supermaxx and they are fine. Can't beat the price either, £125 per pair delivered

I know the swingarm looks great but this sounds like a horrendous idea to me.
Caustic soda eats aluminium and produces hydrogen gas.
It also eats your skin and flesh, turning it to soap.
I would strongly recommend not doing this. No offense CharlieDee.

53k miles is a lot, you could get a far lower mileage bike for not much more

You can tell what country your FZS600 is from by looking at the code
http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php?topic=34.0

Mine is from Germany. I have bits of electrical tape over the lights to pass MOT.
Not aware of any proper fix apart from completely replacing the headlight assembly.

If times are hard then I don't know why you'd waste your money on minor enhancements like braided hoses

CR8E for UK
This is the best deal I could find when I bought plugs a few weeks ago. £17.20 for 4

How did you measure your downpipe temperatures?

Don't buy Motad Venoms off ebay, just ring up Motad & get them for the same price. £150 + postage

I agree, 1st to 2nd is known to be clunky but if you change early it's not too bad
