i bought it as a ex part exchange and its the first 600 i have been on i was a little disappointed with the power but i didnt know any better because the closest thing i had been on was the ER500.

do you know the sort of money a garage should charge to remove one?

Hey guys,

I'm having problems with my fzs600 fazer 98 model. I went out today with a few friends with 600's for the first time (only had the bike a few weeks) and there acceleration and speed where so much better than mine (bandit 600 & 650). I had a go on the 650 and it was miles better acceleration than mine.

Because of the weather it has been the first chance for me to test out the performance properly. I decided to see on the way home how fast I could get out of it and all I could manage was 85mph it would not go any faster :(

I got the bike on eBay !! (I know). It's done 23k miles and I just put new down pipes on it so I know it's not been restricted from the exhaust or anything.

If anyone could help me or point me in the right direction of the cause I would really appreciate it.

Ben

just about to do this and want to be 100% sure im doing it right. do i leave the filler cap under the tank open to get the air out of the system or the the resevoir cap? im just wondering because having the engine running while holding the tank up might be a pain.

thank you!

i have a question about what coolant to use, the manual states that you should do half soft water(or distilled) and half antifreeze but talking to someone today they said i should not put any kind of water just antifreeze because it will cause rust?

what do you think?

I have drained the coolant and im about to put new coolant in do i need to do anything like leave the cap off while the engine is running to get a good air tight vacuum going?

I have noticed the water resevoir has a cap too? should i leave that open?

Any help would be appreciated.

Ben
