Only problem with that is if they have put a condition on your policy ie no pillion cover or no commuting and you dont know

Insurance companies record all phone calls and keep it for years- I've used that to my advantage in the past, so, not having the documents still isn't an issue!

all well and good but I took mine out via the web through compare the market...(just to get a free toy  :rollin )

that will be your next moan mate...the free toys take between 8-10 weeks to come in normally.

lol yeah I knew I'd have to brace myself for that one  :lol

very good point Ralphie and this is why I WANT my policy so that I can actually read whats written in black and white as lets face it insurance really is legalised robbery because they are the first to look for any discrepancy or loop hole in order to not have to settle or pay for a claim, and if the fuckers haven't sent my policy but do say "oh its OK, your on the database" well I'm sorry but that's just not bloody good enough! I paid for a policy and I want to see whats on it.

« on: 13 May 2014, 06:14:14 pm »
HOLY SHIT MAN!!!! I could NEVER live without a bench grinder!! Serious!! I've built and modded a few bikes over the years and the bench grinder with a wire wheel was a God send, OK when it comes to polishing its not powerful enough but it can still bring up a decent shine with patience...£30 will be worth spending for sure!!

« on: 12 May 2014, 05:58:23 pm »
I bought my 1000 a couple of weeks ago and with the shitty weather we've had I've tackled the majority of the corroded fasteners, bolts, etc etc, when I pulled the rad off to clean and re-spray it I looked at the exhaust bolts and with it being a ten year old bike, the amount of rust on them was huge! I had to think for a while if I should tackle them or not and I passed because of fear of what you had to go through lol...

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Quick Q regarding Ivans FM & Akrapovic
« on: 11 May 2014, 08:34:32 am »
Thinking about swapping my Akrapovic slip on for another brand, a much shorter stubby GP style end can, it may be a tad stupid a question but as I'm not that hot on fueling and fine fettling of carbs and jets etc, will it foul the settings that have been made to accommodate the Akrapovic?

cheers

For a Gen 1 Fazer 1000, seems that they are getting difficult to find even on ebay for the Gen 1, well undertrays anyway? Spoke to Colin at Moore Speed racing as they had one on their website, he told me that they get their's through Pyramid Plastics who inturn use Ermax, anyway the price has gone up £20 to £98, proper bummed out on this, TCP don't seem to be answering either and Powerbronze allegedly no longer supply for the Gen 1?? so does anyone know of anywhere to get one?

cheers

General / MCE - DIRTY LYING F**KERS!!!
« on: 02 May 2014, 06:38:29 pm »
Just waited 19 minutes to speak to one of these so called professionals about my policy which I paid in full on the 21st of last month, so call handler answers after ridiculous waiting time and asks how he can help, I say "firstly can you explain to me why I have been waiting 19 minutes on an 0844 number?" he then tells me that they are actually closed? So I ask him why is there not a recorded message at the beginning of the call to allow me to hang up and NOT stay on the line thinking someone will pick up? He then changed his mind and say's that they are open but not expecting calls??? WTF????

I then ask why haven't I received my documents after all of this time, he then tries to tell me that they were sent out the day I took the policy out and as a back up they also sent them via email.  He asks me to confirm email addy along with home address which I do and yes that's them, so where are the documents then ???? - smells like horseshit to me!! I fucking hate insurance companies with a passion and when shit like this happens that anger goes super sonic, so basically it costs me my time and money to call the Dick Turpins for something that should have been done in the first place with no hassle AND NOT ON MY TIME!!!

Wankers  :2guns :2guns :2guns :2guns :2guns :2guns

Does look trick!! I'm toying with the idea with one of them but does the fazer need a damper ? Is that the best price ?

« on: 29 April 2014, 05:14:28 pm »
I took the plunge and bought the Alpinestars off of Egay yesterday, brand new and delivered for £84!!! Can't wait to get them and test them out  :D :D :D :D :D

I'm thinking that I need to up my budget a little and like the look of these boots. Have you received them yet?

from one monkey to another, yup they turned up yesterday..absolutely awesome, super comfortable and very lightweight, feel good on and fantastic support around the ankle area, easy to walk in also.  They usually retail at £134.00 but the shop on egay has £50 off...I'd seriously get a pair before they go  :D

It's that tdm engine, it's renown for it, and it's not always the same big end bearing that seizes. They burn oil for fun, and most owners do neglect to check it before it's too late.

yup very true Stevie
