And from my previous post , with the shifter change on mine I have gone from Old duffer who cant change gear to Joey Dunlop, god rest his soul, in 2 days.
I feel like my Fazer is a different bike now?

Result, the problem is you never know how the previous owner liked it set up?

So just go back to standard and tweak from there!!

Lets cut to the chase here: get the wheels powder coated and put a set of Michelin pr3 front pr4 rears on it, the smile on your face will be far greater than any "rim" job you get  :rollin

I was having problems changing gear with my recently acquired fazer.
So went back to basics: reset the gear changer last night to the recommended position and find its ok now, still clunky through 1-3 but haven't missed a gear today or found any false neutrals.

I thought me or the bike was a duffer and thinking I was too old for this shit!!

I should say that I am back on 2 wheels after a few years away, so dont want to "teach granny to suck eggs" if you are experienced?

Yep know what you mean.
I am running out of excuses for all the packages turning up since I got the Fazer in Feb.

But the Scorpion was genuinely £36 +postage so couldnt turn it down... or the Fairing at £70 or the viper seat at £60 or new fork seals and.... and ...Not forgetting the Michelin PR3/4s and I keep kidding myself on the Fazer cost me £550, musta spent another £3-400 on goodies.

Thank feck she isn't on the Forum  :lol

« on: 25 March 2017, 07:59:43 pm »
Ben Congrats on the tyre choice the PR3/4 combo is working brilliantly for me. As a 60 odd yr old biker returning after 15 years I thought all I would need are flat Harley style tyres lol.

But the confidence the Michelin's give me, makes me think that if it wasn't for the crash bars on my Fazer I could possibly get rid of the 15mm chicken strip on the rear?  :rollin

Son had an Akro on his Aprilia RS4 sounded kinda raspy to me and way too loud.
Mrs thinks the Scorpion is too loud but she is only worried about what neighbours think.

I just want to make sure the dozy car drivers in front of me hear me coming especially while filtering  :rollin

Nice Bike but you need to get the tories over to your country they will slash your taxes  and feck the consequences.

Cheap bikes for all!!

But Really 26 grand for a 2 wheel BMW jeez that stinks

You should start building bikes in Denmark at those prices surely someone could do it and make a profit?
