most of us who have bought "pre loved"Fazer 1000's have had differing degrees of exup issues..unfortunately they all


vary but be prepared for shearing bolts even after heating up the area around each one.


Very rare to have an easy fix but it is well covered in this forum

thanks for the advice ...rebuilt and upgraded my fz6 forks and my old fazer 600 too,,but gonna be steady Eddie on this rebuild  ...

Now the rear end is sorted with R6 shock need to sort the forks out..race tech emulators and linear springs plus


oil,bushes,seals etc about £250 with me doing the work..any advice opinions would be welcome especially if you


have used the emulators..

Put a Bob Heath screen on my standard one..great for putting visor cleaning cloth in..  


Have tried Powerbronze and it's a bit better than standard ..so gonna refit Powerbronze to bike and gaffer the Bob

Sorry..What a twat I am  I 've got the TPO kit..told you I'd had it for ages and still not fitted it   Dementia beckons early   

sounds like it's deffo the plug itself if it wont go in any hole but the others did..I've got to fit the same ones from holeshot (had em for ages) so i'm getting the verniers on em first now...I reckon the ball bearing has been pushed in too far and slightly expanded the sleeve it's in..I'd try and measure the o/d of the holeshot plug and the i/d of the spigot that would tell you the difference between them and give an indication of how much to remove (remembering it's an interference fit)

I'm seriously considering cutting down some bolts and just using them as studs with nuts on a la exhaust style ..if


they do get stuck it wont matter cos you're just gonna remove the nuts..any thoughts ??
