i could easily wire it straight to the battery, but i want to plug a camera in that automatically turns on when the ignition is on.
plus it will save me having to keep the battery on trickle charge as it's only a toy for me and not used daily (yet!)

hi all
i have a couple of 12v sockets ready to put on my bike and i want to wire them up so they only come on when the ignition is on.
one will be at the front (in the inner plastic fairing on the LHS as sat on the bike) and the other will be under the seat.
where can i take the power from to do this ?
any help would be appreciated.

just spotted this.
no idea if my bike has had this done or not.

FZS600 Fazer / Exhaust Gas Leak - Solution ?

hi all
just remembered that my bike is due an mot next month
i think there is a small gas leak on the exhaust where the end can meets the pipework.
i assume that this would be a fail.
is there anything i can use to stop this that wont look hideous ?

If the wire can support 15 amps, then a 10 amp fuse is a safe bet.
obvious when you think about it

fortunately the socket i have is not one of the flush type so the 12v plug will lay flat (or nearly) against the fairing.
got a coiled cable to run to the sat nav / phone from it as well.

hi all
got a 12v socket that i want to put somewhere near the front to power the sat nav / mobile etc. whilst riding.
was thinking about putting it on the inner fairing on the left hand side (the flat, matt plastic bit).
any suggestions, comments, thoughts, tips greatfully received !

The front one is behind the front screen. I will be doing a fotifixes write up on them soon. They record in a loop onto 32gb sd cards.
I'm looking forward to this one :-)
use a drift on my helmet but could do with one pointing backwards and this seems like a good idea
It does work quite well. Takes a bit of time to get the correct angle though
and have you made the usb connection waterproof / removable ?
