Nice, I've got the rubber coolant pipes I removed from my 02 foxeye if you want them? They were all good when I took them off.

Chris

Edit: sorry, just seen your other thread which says it's one of the metal unions you're replacing.

Tbf a few of them are looking a bit tired so could do with replacing those too. Send me a pm and we'll sort something.

Thanks chap

Many thanks for all the replies chaps, really is appreciated. Still got a fair bit of work to do to make it mine, and as I keep making jobs for my self, I best get a jog on with it!

So in the spirit of 'pulling my finger out', first quick update:

Fresh rubber! Opted for BT023's front and rear :)

FZS600 Fazer / Coolant pipes/unions
« on: 01 March 2014, 08:07:13 pm »
Hi all! After a long/spirited ride on the fazer, I get an occasional coolant leak from when the pipe meets the block. I wouldn't say its a bad leak, and has only done it a handful of times, but I want to replace it to be on the safe side. The part I'm replacing is this:

Now, my question is where the pipe goes in the head, does there need to be an O ring?

When changing the coolant, remember to put the drain bolt back in when refilling...

Bit of a thread revival but im opting for the bt23's. At £180 fitted for the pair.  I cant complain :)

I've always had the BT023's :) Have them on both the 600 and 1000

Good to know mate. I could get the BT21's for £150 fitted but with the difference of £30 I think I can justify the BT23's

Now, I haven't snapped one... yet. But im looking at changing the down pipes to stainless. The studs on there don't look too pretty at the moment, so just in case, if I snap a stud whats the best way of removal?

For Sale & Wanted / Carb Rubbers
« on: 20 February 2014, 01:10:30 pm »
Before I got my bike the carb rubbers must have been heavily deteriorated and the previous owner has covered them in.... something.

Basically I want to replace them with some fresher ones. Any one got a decent set of used or new knocking around?

triumph thunderbird storm is a nice bike tested one last summer almost pulled my arms off.

My brother has a Storm, such a beaut of a bike. I'm thinking about chopping in the Fazer already (only had it 6 months) looking for something a little more modern. I keep getting drawn to the Dark Side. (Honda CBF1000)
