« on: 13 March 2013, 08:33:56 am »
Newbie again.

The Moto Gymkhana season starts on Saturday 13th April at Donington Park launch pad (by the Norton Factory). :lol

Unfortunately this first experience day of the year is sold out  :'( but it's free to turn up and watch  :eek

You'll see a few Fazers out there getting used and abused

Anyway, not doing the hard sell, it's just a great bunch of people and very social for chat and a coffee if you're riding in that area.  Starts at 10. Drop in and say hello.

Organised every year to raise awareness/funds for Nationwide Association of blood Bikes (NABB).
All about bikes and fun, punters and racers firing up the hill. £12 to get in i think

I'm going - look for the gold fazer 91 on the hill

Moto Gymkhana UK will be there too.

Hope to see some of you there

FZS600 Fazer / Binding rear axle
« on: 13 March 2013, 08:15:49 am »
Hi
Recently took rear wheel out in the process of replacing front/rear sprocket (up 2 teeth) and disc on 98 FZS600. Went to refit wheel (not having changed front sprocket to smaller size) and, with the larger sprocket, standard chain at it's limit. Was replacing front sprocket too and now have the slack I need but at the time rear axle was tight to get back through so admit to a few taps of encouragement with a soft mallet to get it back through the wheel.

Now find that the rear axle seems to not rotate freely, it seems to snag/catch about every sixth of a rotation.  Initially looked for binding chain but no.  With rear brake caliper removed it still does it so not that.  Makes no difference if axle nut torqued up or not. Might have always been like it.

What has happened?  :'(

Introduction / Newbie FZS600 98 Gold
« on: 13 January 2013, 05:23:49 pm »
Hello you little foccers.
Newbie here in the East midlands, got a gold 98 FZS600 and looking for info on tweaks you've done to yours. I use mine for Moto Gymkhana (what's that? - check out www.motogymkhana.org). Done a trackday last year on it scrape, scrape. Bought some LSL footrest riser plates which lift up and back. hopefully make the scraping noise go away.
Anyway, hello
