Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Which end can ???

So I'm going to be putting a can on my gen 1 fazer, which do you guys on the forum recommend ? Do you need to rejet with a can? All advice and input welcome

Events, Meets, Ride outs etc / Thunder in the glen run Aviemore Scotland

Hi all, a group of fazer owners from the Scottish borders are heading up to the thunder in the glen event in Aviemore on Saturday 29th August , are any fazer owners from other areas going thru to this event? Our route is heading up through Callander , then the green welly at tyndrum, through glen Coe and fort William, then accross the cairngorm national park to aviemore, be an epic run

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Black engine paint

So I picked up my fourth gen 1 fazer in storm silver ith black engine, great bikes, but has seen winter riding with corrosion here and there which I intend to address, the front of the engine paint is corroded in bits. And spoils the look of the bike, is it a big job getting it repainted? Want to do it over the winter to get bike back to pristine Any input will be appreciated

hi all, after a few years away i,m back on a faze 1000 gen 1 its an 05 plate with one owner and 17k on the clock , have a toulon 1000 just now which is great but prefer the faze i think, got a great deal on one so can't wait for delivery

Hi all, well am back looking for another gen 1, currently on an 08 busa, great bike but wife expecting so as a compromise am moving away from the hyper sports bikes and only a gen 1 will do for me, 
Currently speaking to a dealer regarding a yellow 03 plate, mint too, will keep you all posted on progress and hopefully be a fazer 1000 owner again soon

Ok, the wife now looking for a fazer 600 after two years away from biking , looking to spend around a £1000 be looking seriously around end of feb beggining of march, so if anyone knows of or will have one for sale please let me know, based in scotland but distance no problem, willing to travel,

« on: 14 August 2013, 09:55:50 pm » Well after parting with my 05 fazer 1000 in may, have called time on my 06 R1 and am trading it in for a mint 06 plate gen 1 in the near future, have done the deal so awaiting getting the finance sorted, hopefully tomorrow, 
thia will be my 4th gen 1 and won,t be straying again , its dark grey with silver engine, 13k on clock and one previous owner, pics soon as i get it

Hi all, me and a mate did an epic 577 mile round trip from scotland to collect our gen 1 fazer 1000s from the scottish borders to rochdale then from rochdale down to cannock to collect mine, they are both 05 models, but on inspection on one of our coffee stops we noticed a few differences, my one a blue one with black engine had different switchgear on the left handlebar my mate budgies had a hazard warning button and a headlamp flasher unit where mine does,nt have this, it only has the headlamp high beam switch and the horn on it,
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Introduction / Return to fazer 1000 gen 1

Hi all, would like to introduce myself, my name is Martin, i,m returning to a gen 1 fazer 1000 again after a breif ( 2 months ) on a ZX12R , i sold my 05 gen 1 to buy it and regretted it straight away 
i returned to the shop to buy it back but someone had put a deposit on it 
so a week of searching i now am picking up a nice 05 model with 11800 miles this sunday 2nd sept in cannock near birmingham, riding down from scotland with a mate whos picking up an 05 8in silver in rochdale the same day so should be a good days riding this will be my 3rd gen 1 as i had one in 2008 too, just keep coming back to them, this one will be a keeper though 
, hope to hear from all of you soon, Martin.
