General / Creating a channel in YouTube
« on: 13 January 2013, 03:38:16 pm »
Anyone had much luck with this?
I try to upload a video and it starts off with the create channel wizard, but I can't choose the continue button as it does nothing,
the cancel button works, but it means I can't upload my GoPro videos :(

Is it maybe a Java issue? Pretty sure I'm up to date...

General / Airhawk alternative
« on: 03 December 2012, 05:06:27 pm »
If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the airhawk, which should do the same job then try these guys:
http://www.danmedicasouth.co.uk/category/motorcycle-seat-pads/  £59 for what looks like a decent cushioned seat.

I have the gel seat already, and just ordered the bead seat for my long flight back home, I may just use it on the bike as well :)

They have just changed the M/C page - I went to order online as was annoyed to find the postage was £12! I sent them an
e-mail and was told it should be £4.99 - so best to phone up your order as the website isn't correct.

General / Battery recomendations
« on: 03 November 2012, 10:55:53 am »
After 9 1/2 years I think it's time to change my battery - anyone got a good recommendation?

I was looking at AGM for £48, have heard Yuasa is meant to be good and although mine has managed
to last this long, I usually have to jump start a few times in winter, which is not fun.

General / Bike camera
« on: 29 July 2012, 09:00:20 pm »
Anyone suggest a HD bullet camera for the bike?
I would prefer just a lens that hooks into a camcorder but it looks like they only do standalone self recording bullet cams.

The VholdR ContourHD 1080P looks ok but a bit expensive and I've seen some off-putting reviews on you-tube.

I'm looking more for quality than price.

This camera looks quite good: http://www.eheavenshopping.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=786&products_id=744

General / Any ideas on what the problem might be?
« on: 25 February 2012, 12:20:32 pm »

My mate has had his bike in the shop for two months and they couldn't sort out the problem - so hoping that someone has suggestions as to what the issue might be
from the experts here (Mike!  :D )

The HT coil no 1 burns out -  he has blown 2 of them, same one each time.
The bike is a z750 2007/8  model, spark plugs have been replaced bike has done 31,000miles.

Anyone got an idea? or are more details needed?

For Sale & Wanted / Trak-Tech Yamaha Brake Lever H07-4902B
« on: 23 February 2012, 12:17:25 pm »
I bought this Trak-tech brake lever for my FZS1k in 2009 for £50.

I only used it for a few months and then got the Brembo master cylinder which this doesn't work with this lever.

It's in excellent condition with no scratches.

£17 and it's all yours - incl postage...

General / Best ear plugs
« on: 19 January 2012, 10:05:59 am »
First post on the new forum - surprised at the slowness of this site!  :eek

Anyway back to the topic - I have a pair of customised ear plugs that I have had for about five years but I guess
as my ears grow they have become un-effective, so I resorted to some wax earplugs I got in France - good but a bit
fiddly and messy.

So I looked in Boots and found some silicone ones for about £3 - not fantastic value for money (you only get three pairs),
but they are reusable and washable.

They are without a doubt the best I have found for blocking out excess noise - even better than the £50 custom plugs!

So if you care about your hearing then give them a go...
