FZS600 Fazer / Should I attempt a 4 spanner job?

Been riding 10 years; before that never knew one end of a spanner from a screwdriver. But over the years have slowly picked things up and now have a fairly respectable set of tools and can confidently perform a 3 spanner job (balancing carbs).
So I'm thinking of replacing the cylinder head with a new one, which Haynes describes as 4 spanners. Was reading it in bed last night and although it looks long winded, and will definitely take me some time, none of the steps looks tooo difficult.
Has anyone done this and got any tips?

Congratulations to Fazerider for winning March's competition. His choice of theme is "Night. Available light only, i.e no flash photography.
"Most cameras these days can take long exposures so hopefully we'll get lots of atmospheric shots of buildings, skyscapes and long streaky traffic trails."
Post your photographs below to enter. Competition rules include a maximum of 2 photographs per active member, photographs must have been taken by the entrant and relate to the theme and the competition will close toward the end of April. The prize is to choose next month's theme.

Today the 1,000th member has joined the new board 
Last summer while we were on Yuku we averaged 50-60 posts per day. Last month (n.b. a winter month) we we just short of 100 per day (2,840 in 29 days)
The most online was 14th Feb 9pm - how sad are we

<--= this is what exercise does to you, we're all hooked on heroin!So adeejaysdelight is doing a Tough Mudder in July, madmondeoman is doing a Triathlon in May and I'm doing 10k runs in June, July and August and the GNR in September.
How is everyone's training getting on and are there any other foccers in training for an athletic event this year?
Me I'm up to 3.3km so a third of the way there. I'm following the Couch to 5k plan for the beginning part and am on week 5. Over to you

Take a look along the top menu, click Member Map, admire, click the link at the bottom "Click here to add or edit your pin location on the map", add yourself BUT DON'T PUT YOUR EXACT LOCATION OR SOMEONE WILL STEAL YOUR BIKE, go back to the Member Map, admire again.
The map will show foccers who have logged in within the previous 6 months to keep it relevant
