Hello,

I have got a new shed and want to ride the bike in and out. There is a bit of ramp to get in/out and I have nearly dropped it coming out backwards. Has anyone got or used a decent turntable that I could spin the bike on in the shed? Any recommendations.

Thanks.

Gave it a good run out this evening, is like a different bike. Runs great and responsive... loving it.

Just an update.

I have had a full service and it turns out the chain was stretched so that has been changed with the cogs. I haven't really had a chance top give it a run yet, but on the short run home it seemed much improved.

The bike has been stood at my house for six weeks, plus a while at previous owners. Some years he put very few miles on it, I can see that from old MOT's. I had a quick look around this morning and have oiled the chain. It needs a good clean, which I will do. There is a lot of old dirty oil at the front sprocket, so it is possible a seal somewhere around there is failing. I also think it has too much oil in it. If it needs checking when upright the indicator window is full, on centre stand. But if I check it when on the side stand the window shows oil half way. I realise this could be an unrelated issue, but if over filled that could be a problem. Is this right for checking oil level?

The bike is clean. Previous owner kept it on carpet in a heated summer house. He loved the bike but had to give up biking. I doubt it has been abused. It has had plenty of minor services. I would guess it is coming from the middle area of the bike. It is more a grind, bit knocky. I can feel it more through the seat than the handle bars.

I will check the chain out tomorrow.

I am new to biking, but have some mechanical knowledge.,. My recently purchased bike has only 14k on it, I have only been out a few times. It has a 'griniding' noise, more noticeable at speed. It isn't constant. Any thoughts on this appreciated. Thanks.
