Title: Good deal?
Post by: HarryHornby on 10 September 2013, 08:04:50 am
Hi All,

Having binned my Fazer down the A249 last week and sitting here with a broken foot as a result, I need some cheering up.  I bought my Fazer from Colwins and they are a good bike shop.  What do you all think about this?

What should I offer??

Sounds about right coming from a dealer, if it comes with a warranty then not that bad a price, but obviously always offer less!

I want some heated grips on the bike so might do a deal around getting those thrown in and fitted.

Whip the front sprocket cover off

Note that it has the old small nut

Make a scene about it, if the dealer is typically unaware of the sprocket nut issue (or pretends to be)

Blag money off, fix for a tenner ;)

Sorry to hear about your off mate but I read about a few offs that ended in a broke foot, and wonder what foot gear they had and if that made any difference. Not lectureing just wonder if these broke feet can be prevented

Check out Stooby2's foxeye (http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,9809.msg0/topicseen.html#new) ..."high" mileage at 52k, but still looks a great deal.  As everyone knows, these bikes go on forever!
