Yes i got around to buying one of them helmet onboard video cameras
here is my first couple of edited clips, the yellow gen1 is Nick Crisp
This is a lovely little twisty ,Beulah to Newbridge ,Mid Wales , the film does not show how far the roads rise and fall.We kept at a very safe fun speed, very enjoyable ride.

Need to sort out the date/time stamp apprently this was shot 2011. :lol
-
For that i need a small child with a brain that works, not like mine, its english gobbledygook,,, :eek
I think there is an instruction on Utube, i will get a look
-
that looks compact, does it come with mounting clamps etc ?.....good price aswell ;)
-
Yes it has handle bar clamp, mount, and stick on velcro for dashbourds etc with holder for camera. for the rear i put it on the rear footpeg.
I just noticed you can start both videos at the same time,so you can veiw two screens at once
-
I have the same cam. Two problems I have found with it are in poor light the picture is very poor and the recording time sometimes seem to vary by as much as half an hour, even though I make sure it is fully charged before use and the sd card is formatted.

Nice filming Bill. Is that first one where the road crested just to drop away into nothing? Christ, that scared the s**t out of me, I sure wasn't expecting that!
-
Yes Nick, thats it ,the road Noggy asked about, and it leads straight into that raised bend with the armco, last time we were there there was a bike mangled to bits under that armco.
Funny how the film does not show how steep the hill was and the compression in the bottom and the steep rise.
-
mmmmmmmmmmmm....might treat myself to one of those......you lot can then have a giggle at the lofo`s riding styles :lol :lol

The 3rd clip

Best one so far bill
Showed the big corners quite well.
-
That's the act20 cam. Not bad but the wind noise is usually abysmal.
-
Nick, you get around a bit lad :-P

That's what I bought it for... :D
I'm just so much enjoying my riding again with this bike, will hopefully be enjoying it even more once it's Ivanised - can't wait! Plus, won't be long before winter's here again, so making hay... :)

Another clip
Devils Bridge to Aber ed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9zGqxHYvc4#)

nice vids chaps.......and what looks like some great roads :)
-
Yes i am very pleased with the camera quality of pictures,i am getting the hang of editing a bit, now need a suitable music library to accompany the clips.
I will also be experimenting with camera placement, some action pics of the bike working, also working on sound, the mike is very good, so too much noise, sound reducing pads will be fitted.
The let down is the camera does not show the speed, lean angles and the rise and falls of the road, some of them crests over hills and dips are huge, ass off the seat and huge compressions.
Nick will confirm that.
-
No, it was all straight flat roads, no scenery and rained all day....
