Does anyone know why the power commander 3 is suitable for the 06 - 08 bikes and 5 for 09 onwards? I have a 08
Surely the FZ1 is the same 06-13? Would a PC5 fit my bike anyway?

I asked this q on a few sites, no-one gave me a definitive answer, so I bought a two brothers juicebox pro instead! Better in my view, and a LOT cheaper ::)

I like the look of the JBpro too, the price point helps a lot.
Are you just downloading maps or have you found a dyno centre that will tune a JBpro?

It uses the PC maps, as the "two brothers" worked for dynojet, then fell out with them, opening their own company. The juicebox pro is just a pc3 with a storage capacity for 9 maps so you can chop/change on the fly.
As for maps, I downloaded the map pack from the fz1oa site, and matched a few maps up to my mods, then went out and played! There are some good ones, and not so good. Its a lot easier than using one map at a time imho, and if your not into home tweaking (99% don't adjust their own maps) then its the better bit of kit for the job.
What mods are you running/planning?

That's cool to know - think I found a post on the FZ1 forum which states they both fit all models.
Currently running air filter and end can only - gonna do the Lars mod eventually, Ivan flies and gut the cat, so at some point will need either PC or JB

I'd personally fit a fuel box even for exhaust and filter, I ran mine like that with a two brothers map, and the bike did well.
I did the Lars mod, and made my own smaller flies, now running a smoothed map off the fz1oa, and the bike absolutely flys! (not done the cat yet though)
Well worth the effort imho. Just got to save the pennies for the Ivan reflash now, and all hell will be let loose! >:D

I've got a PC5 on my '06. Mounted up with no trouble at all...
