You'll never get the chance, you'll have been run over by your own trailer the first time you have to take avoiding action against a SMIDSY/small child/stray dog.......

Harsh words there...  :rolleyes

Anyway, the trailer's added size makes me more visible. And I am not ashamed of causing a traffic jam.  :rollin

Does the trailer height fit under the normal height for wing mirrors? How else are you gonna filter?

Yes - unless I start bungying stuff on top. I am going to have to try the impossible - devellop patience, and not filter.  :eek

Christo, if you had to slam the brakes on, would you not risk the trailer lifting the rear of the bike and you basically performing a stoppie?

I'd be more likely to lose the front end!!

With the extra weight, I reckon I'd get more grip on the rear tyre, so would need to use more rear brake. BUT, the shunt would load up the front more.

In theory, it could happen. But knowing me, I'd have let off the front before, and even if I didn't, the trailer's weight would easily save me from a flip.

Solution: Don't get into a situation where I need to brake uber hard!!

Looking at a bandit 12 with a trailer yesterday, the hitch on that was attached to the swing arm - seems to make more sense?

Not as good for a bolt - on system. Also, our Fazers have aluminum swingarms, which can't be welded. And drilling them is bad - structural integrity.

Honda Goldwings, who use trailers a lot in the US, usually attach their towballs to the sprung rear fender. If the Goldwing can do it, why can't I?  :)

I thought you raised a separate thread for this to avoid thread rape? This trailer thing is spreading all over the forum like a virus - except no one else is gonna catch the desire to fit a trailer  :lol

If others bring it up, they bring it up!

Anyway, I'm not the only chap towing - DaleH (who's just joined, I talk to him a lot on Facebook) also has a towball and trailer! So there!  :lol :lol

Is HIV screen-transmitted? I thought to get the trailer bug, you had to shag one, or someone with it!

No, I'm not offering.  :lol
