Title: exhaust gaskets
Post by: mobile mouse on 15 August 2013, 10:16:00 pm
Hi,

Made my repair just like Fazerider did back in January:

But then I have clamped up the exhaust bolts and they are still leaking/blowing.

Do I need to replace the exhaust gaskets and redo the fire gum.

There are two types copper or alloy which is the best for the fazer.

Replacing the gaskets never hurt. I've always used the copper ones myself and smear them in petroleum jelly - helps to seat them and creates a nice seal plus any excess will just burn off nicely :)
