Hey all,
Been for a few runs the last few days and can't believe how much brake dust is coming off my pads. They are EBC organic pads all around. They're ok braking wise, although i'm looking for a bit more bite at the front. This winter I plan on rebuilding the front calipers with new seals, hel stainless braided lines and obviously new fluid. Doing this made a huge difference to the back brake when I did that.
Should I try the sbs pads everyone likes or are they just as dusty? From my research then the organic pads are apparently worse for dust anyway so maybe anything sintered or ceramic will be better.
Any thoughts?

Sintered or ceramic okay on front, i wouldn't personally recommend sintered on rear.
I avoid EBC simply because of the dust.

thanks lads, I was going to go for the sbs pads when the ebc ones wore down but to be honest think I'll just get new ones this winter regardless. Ye, cheers Fizzy, I'll be going for those discs too if I can afford new discs... in the middle of buying and moving house... How you getting on with them?

SBS Ceramics up front (Sintered can be too harsh in my opinion) and EBC Organics on the rear. I preferred the feel of the organic pads on the rear as breaking felt more controlled - but this was on my red bike. On my current one, the rear has very little feel to it :( Rebuilt the caliper, pads are new so that leaves the disc which I know is in bad nick but it currently can't be removed. A garage even tried and they couldn't get the bugger off either - good job I have a new wheel to go on :P

My Galfer pads up front aren't wearing the disc or the pad, and are brilliant.
It's very puzzling but i don't care? :)

Wavy Kagizume from Sandy Spares, i don't think they stock them any more but they've been great?
They're 1mm thicker than normal, but they just aren't wearing, and i've had them 3 to 4 years now.

Bought a Kagizume rear disc for my Tiger from Sandy Spares about 2 weeks ago so looks like they still do!

They have rear one's listed on Ebay, as i bought one myself a little while ago to match the others, but can't see front ones any more.
Probably need to give them a bell if anyone is interested.
