Title: Wiring Headlights

Hi folks,sorry am a newbie on here,, my mate has a fzs600 2000 model (w). can anyone help or point me to the info about wiring up headlights so they both are running when on dip ? i think i seen a thread on here somewhere,but cant find it !  it said theres a blue wire connector under the tank,that you just connect a wire from there to the top post on bulb, is this true ? or could  i just run a wire from top bulb post on left to right ? hope this makes sense ?
