I was indeed :) At 3.30am I got out of bed and went to Mersea island to get this shot....

That's an incredible shot - spectacular lightning combined with a beautiful sunrise. Well caught!

Thank you very much :) I went out in my pj's and slippers believe it or not lol. It was worth pinning my eyes open at work the next day I think.
I'm hoping for some more lightning tomorrow morning, but I think it may pass me by here in Essex. My tripod is by the door just in case!
