Two brilliant shows coming up this month, well worth a visit.
Duxford Flying Legends Air Show - biggest warbirds meet in Europe, Spitfires, Hurricanes, Mustangs, B17s etc etc etc, all flying, static displays and of course the museum. Worth every penny! 13/14 July.
Beltring military vehicle show in Kent - tanks, jeeps, APCs and various militaria, displays and battle simulations - another good one. 17/21 July.

Duxford could be fun, but the humongous crowds are a bit off-putting! I hadn't heard of the other one - any good?

Don't let the crowds put you off Christo. It's a real eye-opener, especially when they get 40+ aircraft doing a fly past at the end. Get there nice and early. Lots of bikes go, and they usually have a separate area set aside for bike parking. www.iwm.org/visits/iwm-duxford (http://www.iwm.org/visits/iwm-duxford)
Beltring is another classic, well attended show. Yes, highly recommended. www.thewarandpeacerevival.co.uk (http://www.thewarandpeacerevival.co.uk)
You will not be disappointed with either :)

As a WWII aircraft anorak, I may have to attend then!

Some photos I took at Duxford Flying Legends a few years back...

And a couple more...

WOW! Some pics! Sadly looks like I can't make Duxford... :'( :'(
Maybe Beltring?
