something else that been on my "to do" list for a while is change the spark plugs.
think its still on the original ones and for my own piece of mind i'm going to change them.
while i'm at it, i might as well have some that are a bit better ;)
anyone know the codes for iridium plugs please ?
also, is any "brand" of spark plug better than others ?
thanks :)

I purchase some ngk iridium spark plugs from flebay.
The seller says that the gap is 0.6mm,do i have to regap them to the yamahas specs(0,7-0,8mm).
I search the web and i saw that it is very dangerous for the iridium tip :(

I very carefully gapped mine to 0.75mm, then read about the warnings months afterwards, never had any issues at all, and that was a few years ago.
We're talking about 0.15mm, not a hammer and anvil job. :smash

Does it mαtter if i leave it as it is....I will breake it for sure :'( :rollin :rollin

I had a bit of time on my hands so went searching at work with a vernier until i found a washer that was exactly 0.75mm thick, then just gently pushed it into the gap.
That washer now stays in my wallet, for future use. :D

I stuck NGK Iridiums in 16000 miles ago and they're still going strong, good value as I got mine for £5 each at the time
