Fractured skull, mashed up leg and alot of other bits, not known yet, last night he was racing towards his home on the bit of road he knows so so well and threw caution to the wind,,,,,just don't do it folks,,,  this time mr tractor was there,,,BANG, ,,lucky to be alive , poor lad,

this happened last night, he is now in intensive care, we are waiting for more news,

he works in our local plumbing merchants with my daughter, so alot of concern.

Shit mate that's tragic, he's a nice guy,my thoughts are with him & his family & yous guys as it affects everyone.

I'm in a rural area & the number of times these tractors are just round the corner is unreal,I thought they were meant to be in the foc in fields!!!

He's alive & that's something & I hope he pulls through with youth being in his favour for recovery.

Best to edit your post billyboy. Comments like racing & throwing caution to the wind isn't helping him

What Phil said.   Only takes a moment for something like that to happen. I suspect many of us have had a similar call, but been luckier. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Hope he recovers and is back on 2 wheels again soon. Don't know the guy but remember how shocked I was when I was told about a mate of mine crashing at silly speeds. He got away almost totally unscathed just broke a few teeth which were repaired. He knows he could have been paralysed or worse, can all go wrong in a split second but that's the risk we all take.

Fingers crossed for a quick and full recovery. Hope it doesn't put him off two wheels, and he gains some more useful experience as a result.

another reminder how potentially dangerous the road can be. A moments action can be  a lifetime of regret. We have all done it , some pay a high price.

That is good news! Hope he continues to recover-at least hes got youth on his side. Thank God for the air ambulance service-the West Mids helicopter operates from Strensham Services  on M5 & saves many lives. They dont get a penny from the government-so support your local service-we never know when we will need them. I live a short distance from Q>E> Hospital S.Birmingham-they are second to none in dealing with accident trauma-its where the military casualties are airlifted to-again thanks to the skill & dedication of the staff theres many walking & breathing who should have been beyond help.

He is expecting another month in hospital.

The doctors found more and more breaks as he improved, i think there is hope for him.

He will be happy that you are keeping a eye on him.

was out early today on the BM, and came across a bike accident on the road from Carluke to Carnwath road(Scotland)  looked like a Green Kawasaki had hit a black BMW or vice versa both well mashed up, don't know how the bikers is though.
Hope he or she is not badly injured, made me slow up for the rest of my ride out--scary stuff.
