Hi,
The original bolts on my 2003 fazer 600 rotted after 7 years, I replaced them when I changed the original exhaust for a SS replacement.
These replacements could be A2 or A3 grade steel and after 3 years these too are starting to rot.
Does anyone know if the A4 flange nuts are any better, they are called marine grade.
Or should I go back to the original yamaha nuts.

Not sure what grade of steel these or the original nuts are.
Spotted some TI-6AL-4V (GRADE 5) TITANIUM flange nuts are these better all round.
Any help would be appreciated.

I put A2 stainless dome nuts (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-PACK-M3-M4-M5-M6-M8-M10-M12-STAINLESS-DOME-NUTS-/320938295135?pt=UK_DIY_Material_Nails_Fixing_MJ&var=510070813189&hash=item4ab969bf5f) on mine 5 years ago and they're still fine. The dome keeps the road salt from rotting the end of the stud and at about £2 for ten they're better value than titanium.
