Hello Folks,
How heavy is an FZS600 engine?
Can it be lifted? What about by two people?
Is it too heavy to transport in the boot of a medium sized car?
Just need a rough idea so I can get a perspective on weather I need to rent a van or rope my mate in to helping.
Thanks, Andy

go in your boot easy.....i can just lift on my own,but i am a big tough southern bast*rd......take your mate with you to make it easy.oh....and an old blanket or something, you dont want an oily boot ;)

You don't want to strapping one to the pillion seat!

Only the weight of a normal person so no problem in the car with the weight as long as it is not free to roll about. As said better with a helper as it is an awkward shape to manhandle on your own.

Yeah its liftable but its pretty fuckin awkward. Wear safety boots

Take the oil out an all!

It's an awkward lump, but with some planks and blocks of wood to use as levers it can be done single-handed even by a 9 stone weed.
Two will fit in the boot of a Nissan Micra. :)

Though admittedly, it was a bit down on it's springs.

Just had mine out. Two people can lift it with ease and I fitted it in the back of my mates Mini Countryman car.

Lifted mine myself - carried it from the back garden to the car :) Should be easy with two people
Personally found it easier to dump it in the front passengers foot-well than try to lift it high enough to get it in to the boot

That conjured up a mafiaesque image of a body in the boot for me. Heh.

Lifteable by one weedy person, but you don't want to carry for long.
Borrowing a skateboard will make life easier.

Thanks for all your replies everyone, that's really helpful.
