Did the server reset/crash last night then?
-
yay, and it's back in the game. The site was down for ages, most of yesterday evening and this morning as far as I can tell. It was a DNS error so I can only think it was part of the server move as there is no other reason why anyone would change the DNS configuration. IMO it's pretty p** poor hosting service to have the site down for that period of time without notice if it was the server move.
Who knows huh.

Mine was down but didn't say that it just said it couldn't connect to the server.
-
Worse than that, there's stuff missing.
Fazerrider posted a reply to one of my threads (got an email notification) that I managed to read just before the site went down.
This morning that post, and don't know how many others, have disappeared.

Back on at 1.30 pm for me was beginning to worry :lol :lol

A load of posts have disappeared. I had a couple of replies in the 600 section that are no longer there.

I think most of the trad on the run down from Scotland is missing

Thank you Farjo. :kiss
Thank you too :D
As an aside I'd be asking your hosting provider a few questions:
1.) Why wasn't adequate notice given prior to the down time?
2.) Why was the down time required to move host at all?
3.) Given most of these things are virtualised why was a dns change required?
4.) Why was your data lost?
I'm sure this operation isn't done on a shoe string so I'm at a loss to understand why their changes were implemented so poorly.
Maybe you can get a few months free with the right complaint

Definitely a DNS error as the domain essentially pointed to nowhere for me - possibly a Nameserver issue
The problem with DNS errors is how long it takes to filter back across to everyone its affected. Different DNS routes will be updated at different intervals. Looks like most of you only had about 12~ hours of downtime - I've only just got back on after nearly 48 hours :(

Only just got access back again this evening. BT's DNS servers were slow to update it seems
