FZS 1000 Just wandered if you knew what the
problem might be.  Have not touched any settings.
It does everything else really well
 Thanks Speed
-
Popping on overrun can mean a small leak on the exhaust system.

You say you haven't touched the settings but is it a standard can ?

-
Firing on the overrun means YOU'RE AWESOME.

 Keep it up

 Yes the can is standard
The bike is as completely standard
-
Try removing the can and cleaning the joint area, copaslip or grease the connection a little bit and see if that cures it

Mine's allways popping anything over 3.5rpm and I love it...........!!!!

Thanks I will give it a go
I can say it has never popped until last year
It will overrun ok for a bit but seems to build up to a bit of a bang then it's ok for a bit longer bang again
can it be un burnt fuel firing off in the can?

-
Is it backfiring or just popping.  Big difference.
