Has anyone fitted alternative bars/risers to their fz1? I've got bent bars and have to replace them. I'm not keen on the 3" risers that are on either. I know the Renthal superbike flat bars are almost a direct replacement, but what about other bends or manufacturers?

I have issues with my thou bars, i get back ache after only a couple of hours ,but don't have this trouble with my 600 , I think the thou  bars are a little to wide for me but I suppose I would find the steering heavy if i fit 600 bars to the thou.

I fitted Renthal 755's more comfy than stock :)

i'm not sure on the make of the bars on my new bike, but I'll update tomorrow.

Probably not to comfy on a longer ride. Not just them being low but they are quiet flat and not angling back towards the rider much. A little awkward using the indicators.
Worth it for the feel though for my type of 1/2 - 1 hours riding.

I take it the 755's were fitted to a gen 1 thou?
My fz1 (gen2) has 3" risers on already, it'd be like having a set of ape hangers if I fitted high Renthals :)):)):))
