Touring is all about comfort and practicality, safely carrying luggage.
So first i made a tool box that locks on the bike and is a flat base for the tail pack

Feet forward !! so i took the rear pegs off and made some hangers to be able to assume a cruiser riding position to stop cramp

Then to have an attempt to diifuse the air to a desired place, variable ( still to be tested) after i will buy a small screen to replace this touring screen

I will load it all up for a good dummy run soon, get used to lashing the pack on, i used it last year to go to Barcelona, but that was on a VFR, nice seat, may need a seat cushion mod.

Err no one will argue with that post, those look suspiciously like cartridges in that belt!
The bike looks good too, forward pegs should be comfy too! Nice one.

Have to say i admire your skills and ingenuity.

Camoflage tail pack and loads of ammo? Where the hell are you going touring, and have you notified your next of kin? :eek
But seriously, some good ideas there, enjoy :thumbup

I tour on my 600. Touring mods? None. I bolt the topbox on the back, stick a massive pannier on each side, find a little space for my backside, and off I go, happy as larry. :)

Oh, another point to add to my previous post:
It's nice having a place to put your feet to stretch em, but even going down the M3 all alone at 4am, able to see the lights of cars for miles ahead and behind...
I still like having my feet by the controls. Just in case.

I wouldn't worry about those Jacko, they're probably home made :b
Billy boy, I love the way you're forever tinkering, some good ideas to boot but the Harleyesque pegs should be left on the shelf.
I do a 3k euro trip every year with Mr BMW JP & the roads we ride on you wouldn't be able to handle the bike with those pegs. In a fast braking situation you are going to need to shift both your feet & the angle of your legs pretty damn quick. Not good. Try it before you go I bet it's unnerving.
Touring to me isn't all about comfort & practicality, if it was I'd stay at home with my pipe & slippers. I have a Ventura system, satnav & that is it as far as practicality is concerned. Everything else is for added enjoyment, including the rearsets. 8)
