Title: R6 shock on it's way
Post by: Minty on 28 April 2013, 12:05:00 pm
Hi
Got a R6  shock on the way, I know I need to drill out the top bush to take bolt, and spacer washers.

Do I need to know owt else?

Anyone suggest any settings for a lanky 6'3" 12st rider?

Will my jack-up dog bones make any difference to set up/fitting?

Front forks also dropped 10mm, everything else standard. Cheers Minty.

You will probably need new dog bones as the arse itch shock is a fair bit shorter.
Devilsyam will sell you a pair or if you're mechanically minded you can make your own or get some from the bay of evil, but you will need to know your centres.
If you pm me i'll give you a ball park figure, but at 12 stone you're going to find it very firm.

130 mm between hole centres gives std ride height, 126 mm for + inch.

Check pm's

you need to grind away relief on the top of the shock too and given your height 126mm 6mm steel nothing less
