Title: Oil filter tool for Gen1
Post by: howardmoon on 01 November 2011, 12:31:15 pm
Hi guys and girls,

I'm looking at buying a oil filter wrench of this type:

http://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/500328/Workshop/General-Tools/On-Two-Wheels (http://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/500328/Workshop/General-Tools/On-Two-Wheels)

Anybody already know what size is needed for a Gen1?

Thanks, Paul

I have a filter wrench , but as the filter is plastic, if its been put on very tight ...it may just spin on the plastic! It usually happens when I get a dealer to do the oil service...as I never crank my filters on tight .
If this happens...just have to resort to screwdriver through the body of the filter which I do hate to have to do!

Had mine in use today and measured across the flats it's 70mm.

Hope that helps. :)
