My local Yamaha dealer told me that Yamaha is fading out the FZ1 fazer....
And looking on the Yamaha UK website I no see it listed on there anymore..
http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/products/motorcycles/index.aspx (http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/products/motorcycles/index.aspx)
I can only see the naked fz1n
Is this the end for the 1000cc fazer .... :'(
-
Think their going back to the FZS1000 :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol
-
Nah........the're moving on the the Fazer8 :lol :lol :lol
-
I've been told that's actually true, they are dropping the FZ1 to promote the Fazer 8 which is popular over seas for some reason.

I guess the £2200 cheaper price tag of the FZ8 is a big part of that reason... ;)
FZ1 fazer = £ 10,199.00
FZ8 fazer = £7,999.00
FZ1 naked = £9,199.00
FZ8 naked = £6,999.00

Yep, plus it's a better bike of course :lol ......oops, did I just say that out loud......Sorry :eek
-
Thin ice sure2ride. Very thin ice.
-
Yep, I know.. Sorry about that. Musn't have us Fazer 8 owners getting uppity. :'( FZS1000's still rule :)
-
Isn't he saying the 8 is better than a gen2 not a gen1 :b
-
That of course would be true. :-)
Havin said that ive never riden an 8 or a gen2. Wouldnt mind a go sometime.

tee hee hee.... :lol
-
Tis a sad day indeed if the 1 is dead :(
-
If it wasn't for my back problem which means the FZS1000 Gen 1 just got too heavy for me to lumber around, I'd still have one :lol
They are stonking bikes. Gen 2 thous are fine too, but the 8 suite me best now, and I like it, but it will never be Gen 1 Thou. Still, I'm gonna tkeep that thought a secret.....doh! :rolleyes
See, now everybody is happy.

What I don't understand is the price difference. What components on the 1000 would cost over £2200???
Absolutely mad they charge so much for the Thou'. If the 800 can be sold at a profit then the 1000could be way cheaper?
Just a thought.

I think thats why this country is often referred to as "treasure island" :'(
-
So is that good news for the value of my FZ1S ?
-
Maybe its because the have a found a home for that triple cylinder engine they told us all about last year.

It like insurance.....The buggers are only charging you extra because 1000 is a bigger number then 800... ;)

Its back on the list, I spotted it whilst looking at the MT-09.
http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/products/motorcycles/fz-series/fz1-fazer.aspx (http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/products/motorcycles/fz-series/fz1-fazer.aspx)
Guess the MT-1100 isn't ready yet, they are knocking out bigger tanks.
