Title: What spark plug caps

Like the title, just want to know what caps I need? Went into my local dealer and he showed me this

The reference that I have seen on several posts on here is SD05F, they are straight not angled like the originals and I can see them on your first pic

Yeah, they are the straight one's, i've got them on my bike, SD05F.  ;)

Not knowing a lot about this sort of thing - but what's the point or replacing them???

Old for new basically, they get old and weathered, plus the new one's are fancy looking and are about £3 each instead of £52 each for new originals!  :)

Thanks for that lads, think I have an electrical problem, not going to get into it all now but I'm just replacing the stuff that generally gets replaced anyway, no harm

Useful tip - before you install the new caps cut off the ends of the old wires (between 0.5 - 1 cm).

Thanks dude, yea I was planing on doing that, as I went to put one plug back in and was pure black and corroded looking

Have a red sb05f to try as he doesn't have the sd on the shelf, would this do?

Take it and measure it against what you are taking off and that it will sit in the recess. I am considering purchasing the XD05F and can't fault the red colour.
 
Look at the abgle it comes out but as long as it fits there will not be a problem this is why I will be going for my choice:
