Title: The old bat is dead?
Post by: chaz on 08 April 2013, 01:40:32 pm
In case you've not heard, Margaret Thatcher is dead.

Just to let you know that I did OK in the 80s moving from a terrace house to one in the better parts of Selby (if there is such a thing). By 1984 I'd paid my mortgage off, this was nothing to do with Thatcher but the fact I was working 10 hours a day 7 days a week, yes I was greedy when many didn't have a job, but hey greed was good.
What I got was a pittance to what the rich people got and don't believe the story that Margaret Thatcher was a poor girl from a poor family who made good.
I agree that the lefty, commie unions needed sorting out but why destroy the industries in the process?

I recently bought some levers for my bike from China and had to explain to a friend that China leads the world now and Britain is now a 3rd rate country.
I'm not pleased about the death of Mrs Thatcher but I have no respect for her or what she did and I don't believe the myths about how she saved the country.

I do not think the unions could organise a piss up in a brewery, and it saddens me to say it.

Apparently she's going to be buried in London.

The queue to dance on her grave has currently reached Birmingham...

The poll is missing an option:
