It's been mentioned a few times in 'Ivanising' threads that I had plans to make trip with the toolkit in May. Family things and work have conspired against that but I think I can slot in a trip early in June.
Provisional dates are Friday 14th June - Monday 17th June.
I have around 6 names so far. I need to work on at least 10 bikes, though, to make it worthwhile travelling over.
If you'd like more information, please drop me a line direct (mikegreatorexAThotmail.com) and I'll tell you all you need to know (and probably loads you didn't ;) ) by return.
Cheers!

Well you know I'm in Mike for a Full Monty (oo eerr), so come on folks, let's make it worthwhile for the Ivaninising master 8)

If you have any doubts about getting your bike done, I can only say that Mike Ivanised my Gen1 about 18 months ago, and it's been great. I could have done it myself, but it would have taken me 4 or 5 times longer, and getting someone who knows as much about Fazers as Mike checking the bike over is well worth while in itself!

june Aghhhhhhhhhh

I've just e-mailed all the owners who have contacted me previously about my 2013 plans. Hopefully I've included everyone but if you haven't got a message from me this morning, please e-mail me and let me know so that I can add you back into the provisional schedule.
If you could also include your location and a contact phone number, that would be really useful in putting together the itinerary.
Cheers!
Mike
PS. Problems with June, Luke? Anticipating typical UK summer weather, perhaps? :lol

I am one of the original 6

for the Ivanising mod if need be.
E-mail mike and he will give you all the info you need
from the Fully monty to the slip on.
one of my mates has had his bike done back in 2006 by mike and it still goes very very well.

E-mail for all the information you'll need to make decision. :)
Where depends on where the bikes are ... ;)
-
There is no decision ...............................Just do it
-
im in mike i sent you a email, through the foc site, its not showing as sent on my e.mail though. let me know if you have not recieved thanks.
-
I received, Bob, and replied but I don't know for sure how this e-mail within the forum thing works as it comes through with a 'no reply' header in the address line.
That's why I ask folks to e-mail me direct rather than PM or forum-linked e-mails. :)
-
hi mate cant find it so i have sent direct from my e.mail :)
-
Got it, Bob - reply sent a few minutes ago.
To anyone else planning to get in touch for more information, please don't PM me or send e-mails via the forum.
I do all the coordination for these trips by e-mail and frequently use group e-mail messages to save time and to ensure that everyone knows what's going to happen. That's not possible with PMs or the forum links.
Thanks, :)

sorted i'm in :D

The Cunning Plan is taking shape!
Subject to replies from a few owners about possible venues/dates, it looks like I'll be flying in to Gatwick, working in Kent first then motoring up to the W Midlands for a day. After that, Liverpool/Manchester area for another day or two, depending on how many confirm in that region.
At this time I don't seem to have solid interest from enough owners further north to merit me travelling beyond Manchester but I'm still willing to consider it at this stage. However, I need to book flights soon before they start getting expensive, so this window of opportunity will close in one week from now.

Mike
I've just PM'd you as well, but thought I'd stick it up here too. I'm up in Scotland, so not sure if you're coming up this far, or even to the far north of England. Just bought my fazer 1000 tonight after about 5 years on an FZS600, I was going to wait to get used to the extra power before I thought since you are coming over in June, I may as well see about getting this done.
Cheers

Hi Des,
Congratulations on your new bike. :)
I've replied by PM, too, but will say the same as above in this thread ... please contact me via e-mail direct rather than PM, as this makes it much easier for me to provide a comprehensive reply and also to keep track in one place of owners who've shown an interest in getting 'Ivanised'.
Thanks :)

Sorry Mike
Never read all the posts above, was just too excited about my new bike. I've now emailed you directly.

How's about doing a Multiguage visit?

How's about doing a Multiguage visit?
:) Not really much call, I suspect, and this something that most owners could do themselves.
Even if they don't feel able to do the soldering, all they have to do is remove the gauges and take them to an electrical repair shop with the Multigauge and instructions. It's a 30 mins job to mount the Multigauge and solder the wires. Maybe a tenner in labour. :)
-
hi mike have sent you an email about having my bike ivanised cheers
-
all still going to plan i hope :)
-
Yup, all still on track. :)
Jet kits should arrive in the next week or so. Air filters already waiting for me at my first venue.
I'll e-mail everyone with final schedule details, venues, contact numbers etc etc this coming week.
Cheers!
Mike

Hi Julian
Very sorry but I'm maxed out this trip already. Thirteen bikes in 3 1/2 days plus traveling between locations means I don't have a spare hour anywhere in the schedule.
There was a thread here recently about the Multiguage, IIRC ... try Search to see if you can find it. :)
Cheers!

DOHHH!!!!
never mind but if anyone cancels mike or you feel like working a late shift lol
when will you be coming again?
bring a spare kit and if it becomes do-able ring me m8 07736 640852

hey hang on,,,, 13 bikes 3 and a half days,,, thats 4 per day and the half day should be 2,, so make mine the 2nd one lol :D
-
3-4-4-2, Julian. Waltham Cross - Kinver - Liverpool - Manchester. Monday is fly-home day, so no scope for problems or delays there. :)
I don't carry a stock of kits, either ... I order in what I need for each trip and no more. I never know if each trip will be my last, you see. ;)
-
Can we start to drum up some Scottish bikes for your next trip? How many do we need to make it feasible for you?

I'm approaching my busy summer season (pool maintenance) so I can't commit to anything now before the end of Sept. The beginning of Oct is out, too, because of family visits. So, it would be late Oct/early Nov before I could even think of getting over to Scotland.
Not the best time of year to be asking folks to ride to meet me wherever I'm working. ;)
However, to answer your question, a minimum of 6 bikes if I were to be working in one location throughout (say, Glasgow or Edinburgh-based) over a period of 2 days. For a 3-day visit, I'd need 9 or more. :)
-
Julian, please check your e-mails. A window of opportunity may have just opened for you ... ;)
-
i'll be there mike,, how much please?
let me know proper address and time please mike and book me in for the first class service ;-)

Hi Paul
Unlikely that I'll be able to help you this trip. I'm not going anywhere near Norwich for starters ... closest I'll be is Waltham Cross and I'm fully booked there already. Sorry.
Hope the shoulder heals faster than Ben Spies and Carlos Checa! :)

rode my new aquisition back from edinburgh to doncaster in the sunshine yesterday,, down the a68 and then i think the a629 to newcastle. (thanks jabbascot it's better than i dared imagine)
omfg that is the very best motorbike ride i've ever ever had. travelled 40 miles at lets say very progressive speed and never caught a single car or hold up of any kind. why did i ever sell my fazz. must have been crazy.
mike do you keep a log of the registrations that you ivanise cos i'm not so sure this one hasn't already been done. the power doesn't seem to tail off like my other one did before you breathed on it ;)
spent the afternoon cleaning it and fitting a rentec rack and some +25mm dogbones.
will take a couple of goes to bottom the muck but i'm in love with my bike again for the first time since selling my old fazz.
pics to follow when i'm happy that its clean. :D
-
cheers mike, catch you next time mate, berluddy sore today and wouldnt you know summer finally arrives in the uk now im in a sling for the next six weeks... :rolleyes

Hi back, Marcus.
Seven years? Sheesh ... I just completed a major overhaul on mine yesterday at 50k miles and 11 years of ownership.
I think it's a keeper ... ;)
