:\ I don't quite understand your .. ''Have to admit' .. bit back there Simonm ?
Good move to buy these things in my opinion .. they have been in use for years in all kinds of conditions .. commercial and sport.
Used correctly .. they are waterproof UNDER-water .. so you should not have any problems with one on a bike .. unless of course you live in Manchester maybe :rollin

been using this type of bag for years....kayaking / canoeing on the thames and also on the bike, great for tents and sleeping bags, strap it down in the gap between rider and top box :D

Erm, I don't think your kits going to get wet in those bags, unless you ride your fazer 100 leagues under the sea!
Its good stuff. I used similar kit in the Army, did river crossings and tabbed in monsoons. I only realised how good they were when I didn't use them, and my kit got wet. My missus uses mine now for her diving gear.

I've always used ortlieb bags ( http://www.ortlieb.co.uk/ (http://www.ortlieb.co.uk/) ), they've always kept my stuff dry, wheather it was out in my RIB, diving, climbing or out on the bike. Brilliant things.

I have a tendency to buy loadsa stuff when taking up a hobby and I end up not using all of it.
I couldn't resist though, it looked too well made and useful.
