Bike 2003 FZS600
Digi Cable Colour - - Bike Wire Colour
Black – Connect to earth within wiring harness – Unknown
Red – 12 volt live connect to ignition switch – Unknown
Yellow – RPM connect to tachometer pulse wire – Yellow & Black
Green – MPH connect to speedometer signal wire or speed sensor – White
Brown – Connect between neutral light and neutral switch – Light Blue & White
Orange – Set up leave accessible for programming – No connection required

Yes I see the the Black now you have pointed it out. Still unsure about the live but will put a meter onto it to figure it out but with what I see is the light brown powers constant live feeds for the meeters and nutral light where the ignition switch and nutral light are turned on when operating the connection to the earth.
Your spot on with the speed sensor. I was thinking of employing my Bros son (aka numb nuts) as test pilot while I sit enjoy a cuppa while programming.

Come Saturday I will be fitting the Digi after its MOT (just in-case I mess things up) The programming may have to wait as it is dependent on the weather due to the fact that I will have to recruit numb nuts and convince him to go 2up as I my speed sensor is on the front wheel. If the garage doing the MOT has a rolling road I is going to try and blag a free use off it to programme the Digi due to the fact numb nuts wants to fit a Digi to his bike while he is friend of the garage and has only offered to help to see if I know what I is doing to fit one to his R1.

Why d'ya need this?
Got lazy with the Gladius but found it useful when at lights in traffic. I wear ear plugs as the hearing I have left I is attached to. At the end of the day its another aid or toy depending on your point of view.

Before I replaced the fairing I ensured that the wiring was coverd compleatly with rubber tape to waterproof it then a top layer of electrical tape to secure and Isolate the wires.
All my wires had a green bands on that I ignored. I tookit as a way for the manufactores to identfy the correct wiring loom for the year of my bike 2003.
Photos not to clear and I left to do a coffee while numb nuts burnt my pegs.
You can get the programming guide and matrix wiring for diffrent bikes in the download section.
Updated Colours for Fazer600 2003 *IMPORTANT Check with your book on the colours as there is 2 browns and 2 yellow and blacks. Check which is the dominant colour.

2 The Box, Tools, Haynes, Eletrical, Rubber and masking tape, soldering iron & solder Solder sucker upper |
3 Digi as it comes You may want to wait to see how much Digi wire is required before sep 4 & 5 Dependent on placement |
4 Exspose 5mm of bare wire on each strand and solder but do not solder Orange wire |
5 strip outer sheith and seperate Orange wire as this is required to programme Wrap Rubber tape (after streaching) length of strand leaving enough to double back on self Cover with electrical tape |
6 Remove front screan and side fairing Main fairing can stay on (fox Eye) Pull rubber protector to expose connector to instrument pannel It takes some wiggling to get off while releasing push in lock |
7 Removed electrical tape to expose wiring My wiring all had green bands on them that I took as a factory Identification for the year 2003 I also used light brown as Live feed |
8 I used pegs to splitt my sourced wiring and at the same time it protects all the wires your not working on |
9 Now take small peice of rubber tape and gently stretch it then wrap round soldered wiring tightly Then wrap in eletrical tape |
10 Do not over do it with the rubber & electrical tape |
11 once all wiring was connected I placed the Digi face on the instrument pannel, replaced all connections to back of instrument pannel & tested by turned on the electrics Then off to programme the unit |
